Editor, movie reviewer, and most important (to me) my friend Robert Vaux posted about being a little confused because, this being his forty-second birthday, the Universe hasnt showered him with cosmic insight. I posted a reply that may not of the same level as the classic Douglas Adams Hitchhikers Guide books ... but it was a little paragraph I want to remember for my self, so Im going to post it here for safe keeping. Heres the great deep thought I took away from my Life, the Universe, and Everything birthday. We all remember that in Hitchhikers Guide, 42 is the ultimate answer ... and we never really are given the question. But the SOLUTION is right there ... its to make up your own question! Life throws a lot of firm facts and truths at us, but leaves us to give them context and decide what they actually mean. 42 was the year I stopped always accepting the common knowledge context to the worlds truths and started looking for my own. The answer may be the same for everyone, but the question is up to you.
