Editors honour Archbishop King By Eze Adiuku The Archbishop of Zion Outreach Ministries, Rt. Rev. Dr. Williams King has been honoured with an award of Excellence as “Distinguished Captain of Charity and Education by the Forum of Imo Newspaper Editors in recognition of his contributions to charity and education. Receiving the award in his office in Owerri, Rev. King disclosed that God called him into the ministry and that if there is another life, he will still love to be a minister of the gospel. The General Overseer said the Ministry which started in 1995 in Badagry Lagos State has 25 churches in Nigeria, 10 in Cameroon and one each in Gambia, Kenya and Uganda. In addition, the Ministry has Zion Ambassadors Bible College with has five campuses in Asaba, Owerri, Elelenwo, Bayelsa and Warri. Archbishop King whose father is from Akwa Ibom State and his Cameroon stated that the challenges of the ministry is lack of sponsorship the perception of miracles as court manifestations, especially by rural dwellers, maintaining a steady flock and inability to secure land for the church. The man of God revealed that he has been sponsoring about 15 orphans in school and some had already graduated. Also, he said 12 widows are on the plan to have them trained in skills and cooking for partners to help out in that. Zion Outreach Ministries has six Cathedrals in Rumueme, Ibusa, Elelewo, Bayelsa and Asaba. In appreciation of the honour to their Archbishop, Evangelist Ini thanked the Editors for the honour done to their Archbishop, adding that Rev. Dr. King is a gold fish that has no hiding place.
