What has that money done? That money has helped move over 400 animals into rescue from three surrounding First Nation Communities. Rescues that we have sent animals to have been in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario. That money has helped provide emergency vetting, spaying, neutering, vaccinations and deworming for over another 200 animals. That is over 600 animals helped. Besides your help we also have the help of Sioux Valley, Birdtail and Canupawakpa Communities - combined human population between 1800-2000. Without their trust and respect this would not have been possible. Without their fundraising efforts. Without them letting some crazy chick with a bag of dog food on her hip, knock on their door and ask if there are any strays dogs in the area….What started out as just one person has now grown to a tight knit team of 14. Vet expenses that we have paid to December 31, 2013 $34,913.75. Vets we have used are in Virden, Brandon, Oakbank and Winnipeg. This $ total doesn’t include the pets we have helped to spay/neuter/vaccinate/deworm and return to the First Nation Communities. 600 animals helped. 1800-2000 people helped. $34,916.75 dollars spent on vet expenses. Being the change you want to see in the world ? Priceless.
