Education, health our top most priorities, CM Handout No.1 Peshawar 20th October 2014. KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has said that PTI-led coalition govt side by side with introducing uniform system of education and reforming primary and higher education sectors was also focusing full attention on quality technical education so that our youth was equipped with skills and they got jobs and trades of their choices. He said considerable progress has been made in establishment of Technical and Air Universities at Azakhel to make breakthrough in this regard while a number of other drastic steps have been also been taken including revamping TEVTA for the purpose. He was talking to various delegations from his constituency Nowshera including one from Dagai that called on him at CM Secretariat Peshawar and apprised him of the problems and grievances of the people of their respective areas. They acknowledged that changes have been visible in performances of police, patwar, schools and hospitals of their surroundings and thanked Pervez Khattak on it as well as said that they were proud of him being a valiant statesman serving their province as Chief Minister. Pervez Khattak assured that new avenues of employment would be explored in result of the drastic steps of his govt for ensuring peace, cheap electricity generation for domestic and industrial purposes, creating conducive environment for local and foreign investment and boosting economic relations with the neighbouring countries. He lamented that corruption was our big problem that was rampant in the past everywhere and that was why the people got rid of these corrupt rulers by voting PTI into power. He said corruption and nepotism were being made stories of the past in result of the candid measures of his govt. He said even looted funds to the tune of billions of rupees would be recovered starting work of the Ehtesab Commission that has been just established with proper. He assured that supremacy of law, merit and justice would be maintained to let poor have sigh of relief who had become direct and easiest victim of the VIP culture and injustices in the society during the past regimes. Chief Minister said that record legislation has been made with focus on safeguarding interests and rights of the poor masses including RTI, RTS, CoI, EC as well as all sectors including education and health were reformed revolutionarily to make institutions bound to deliver and become subservient to the people and not the VIPs. He said his govt has also made all preparations for LG polls and introduced exemplary LG Act while other provinces have just formed local councils to hoodwink the masses. He said besides fully empowering the village, Tehsil and distt councils, 30-35% of even the provincial resources were being transferred to LG bodies in KP to enable locals spend it on their own. He said youth, women and feeble segments of society have given us majority votes and we would serve them and would come up to their expectations accordingly. He said our foremost target was to strengthen institutions and restore confidence of the people in it. There would be certain standard of everything and it would be maintained at every cost, he added. He said there would be no primary schools of just two rooms and two teachers in future but instead each and every primary school would get six rooms and six teachers to enable it give quality education to the wards. All the schools with missing facilities of furniture, drinking water, toilets and boundary walls would also be made available in it in shortest possible time under Taameer-e-School program, he concluded.
