Education means more than acquiring knowledge.It empowers people to develop personally and become active.Knowledge is power, and education is the fundamental precondition to achieve development. This is why Elephant Neighbors Center,through the Ivory Belongs to Elephants Campaign values education.One of its major objective is to educate local schools and communities on the New Wildlife Act as well as educate them on how to mitigate human-elephant conflict among other conservation benefits. I am working to establish a vigorous conservation education program, initiating a network of youths and schools in areas deemed to be of high risk poaching incidences. In all Ivory Belongs to Elephants Walks,we involve schools and different institutions by walking with us and giving them talks on conservation. I am looking forward to the Nyeri-Ndakaini edition that starts on the 13th to the 22nd September.Schools within this area,be ready!!! #ivorybelongstoelephants
