Educators from across the region assembled at SuniTAFEs #e-Summit14 over the last 2 days to share their online tips, tricks and tools to help e-xtend their reach to engage, motivate and achieve strong learning outcomes for participants and educational providers. SuniTAFEs e-learning adviser Tania McDonald along with numerous high calibre presenters showcased e-learning tools at the fifth annual e-Summit. The forum was hosted at Mildura and streamed online to our campuses at Swan Hill, Ouyen and Robinvale. E-learning adviser and event organiser Tania McDonald said the institute had first implemented the “blended learning” experience – a combination of traditional and e-learning – in 2010, which is now part of every department in the institute. At the forum, land and environment teacher Stan Pietsch discussed constructing an online course using learning management system Moodle, which allows students to access course information and interact online. Education projects officer Jackie Heaysman has developed online course material based on traditional classroom interaction.
