Edward Scissorhands - Ice Dance A great scene with some very excellent & quite exquisite & delicate Debussy inspired music by Composer Danny Oingo Boingo Elfman. I mean, how many times do you see a movie or TV show where they will either use this same piece of music itself or a sound-alike, knock-off instead? (All the damn time & its no wonder either, as the music is brilliant for what it is meant to be & also in the emotional power that it contains so inherently.) But, Edward really should have asked her to go with him instead of leaving her behind, in my own opinion. Even if he didnt age per se, they still would have had several great decades of incredible love & romance together that way, you know? But Tim & Johnny & the suits etc all wanted it to be very sad & moving at the end, of course. Tragedy being the Hallmark of great Drama & Timeless Fictional Romance in general and whatnot. Hence the whole tragic, bittersweet dramatic finale prior to seeing Winona looking like a grannie, telling her emotional story... ^V^Dorien^V^
