Effective 8:00 pm, July 15, 2013 the Evacuation Watch for residents of Two Rivers and Pleasant Valley along Chena Hot Springs Road between Milepost 16 and 27 was lifted. An Evacuation Watch is now in place along Chena Hot Springs Road between Mileposts 27 and 39. The Fairbanks North Star Borough Evacuation Animal Shelter will remain open from 9am to 7pm until all livestock, poultry and pets are collected. Chena River State Recreation Area is closed due to active fire conditions. For more information on Alaska State Parks, call 907-451-2695.
