Egbabor Swears in Barr. Vote Umukoro as Secretary to Isoko North Local Government THE Executive Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor has sworn-in Barr. Vote Augustine Umukoro as Secretary to the Isoko North Local Government. Performing the swearing in ceremony, Hon. Egbabor while congratulating Barr. Vote Umukoro on his appointment urged him to see his office as the engine room of the operations of the council. It is with all sense of humility and appreciation to God Almighty that I welcome you all to this occasion of the swearing-in of the Secretary to the Local Government after a successful screening by the Delta State House of Assembly. I have no doubt, that todays ceremony marks the dawn of a new era in the political history of Isoko North Local Government. The Chairman charged the Secretary to ensure that he impacts positively on the lives of the people as a lot is expected from the administration. Aside the functions of the Secretary as outlined by law, you are expected to impact positively on the lives of our people and ensure the improvement of the overall development of the local government. You must endeavor to abide by the oaths you have subscribed to and always place public interest above self and personal consideration. There is also the need for you to work with the Legislative Arm and the Civil Servants as a bridge builder for the smooth implementation of the policies of the government, mostly the three point agenda of the State Government. In Isoko North time management and accountability is paramount to us. Your position is key to the actualization of the agenda of this administration. We must all work to reduce corruption. No doubt the task before us is enormous but God willing we shall achieve the yearnings of our people. The expectations of the electorates is very high, so we must try our best to deliver to them the dividends of democracy. In his acceptance speech, the Secretary to the Local Government Barr. Vote Augustine Umukoro thanked the Chairman for finding him worthy to be appointed. He assured him of his unalloyed loyalty, obedience and dedication. I want to thank you very much Mr Chairman for finding me worthy to be appointed as Secretary to the Local Government. I assure you of total obedience, loyalty and dedication to service. Having worked in a successful private company for decades, I can assure you that I am a master and keeper of time. With my background as a political scientist and lawyer, I will bring to bear my experience garnered over the years on my appointment. The new Secretary to the Local Government Barr. Vote Augustine Umukoro hails from Oteri-Iyede. He is a graduate of Political Science and Law from the Delta State University and University of Benin. He also attended the Nigeria Law School Bwari Abuja and was called to Bar in 2008. He is currently studying for (LLM) Oil and Gas Law at the University of Benin. Barr. Vote Umukoro was Chairman Delta State Students Association in Nigeria Law School, Abuja, Lagos, Enugu and Kano Campuses in 2007. He was also Operations Principal Supervisor at Intels Nigeria Limited, Warri where he was a one time Trustee, Assistant Secretary and Deputy President of Senior Staff of Communications, Transport and Corporations (SSACTAC) INTELS/AMS Branches.
