Egg production..... I have 6 hens (2x araucana, 2x wyandotte x, 2x Australorp x) just started laying a couple of months ago - must have been a oct ish hatch. Anyway they started out well - laying regularly some every day some every 2 nd day - Araucanas slightly less. Their laying in the last couple of weeks has really dropped of - getting only 2 or 3 a day. I have been following feed threads on here and have started feeding lacto fermented wheat, amaranth and quinoa every 2nd day and my normal layer pellets everyday. They free range most weekends but due to having a dog they stay in their very large fenced area during the week while we are at work. Any ideas - why would production drop off? Should it not be getting better?
