Egos and Insurance When they starting insulting me and my family at work, it got more annoying. Even an apology from the new supervisor who was new at messing with people was not very comforting. It gets a LOT more annoying when they used their own local knowledge about YOU in your PRIVATE HOME to mess with you. Privacy was dead before facebook. Privacy has been dead before ancient Greece and Rome had records about spying. It just got a lot easier for a rich and powerful corporation to conveniently gather information about its employees when the first cheap listening devices were invented. The biggest privacy risk in the US is not the CIA or the NSA, it is the corporation. The corporations have the money and the motive to buy lists and records to know what you do not just for a living, but throughout your day. They want customers to be happy, and employees to be kept in line.
