Egwu dikwa! John Okiyi Kalu wrote: Nigeria has entered one chance bus... I am just reading about the protest in Katsina against foreign troops and use of force against Boko Haram to recover the girls. Hmmmmmmmm, I hate to be right about some issues. Please can anyone confirm that Katsina, Kano, Kaduna, Yola, Yobe, Sokoto or any northern state joined the bring back our girls protest? Does it not seem strange that PH, Lagos, Abuja, Abeokuta etc protested and asked for the girls to be brought back by all means possible whereas Katsina is protesting for the girls not to be brought back, by implication? At times like this all I can do is join one great woman and mother in shouting chaiiiii, chaiiiii, there is God oooooooo. The presence of the foreign troops was avoidable. We know their coming is not totally desirable and the president had to bow to opposition and foreign pressure (against his will) but the immediate concern should be 276 girls in the jungle. Let the governments in the north explain to our people that America will not be putting boots on the ground in the northeast but only provide intelligence support to our soldiers from their Abuja base. Simply put, America and other foreign soldiers WILL NOT FIGHT OUR BELOVED BOKO HARAM but will assist NIGERIAN SOLDIERS to locate the children and the leaders/sponsors of Boko terrorist gang. Really, Katsina and others have nothing to worry about. Unless..... But is my theory of Boko Harams popularity in some parts of the country not panning out? People are prepared to demonstrate seemingly for them but not for 276 children. No comment from me, for now. Expect more protests today sha. As far as I am concerned Boko Haram and their sponsors have effectively put Nigeria inside one chance bus. Me I siddon dey look all of us in the knowledge that there is God in heaven watching us all. Even the obviously orchestrated anti-Nigerian government reportage in foreign media is suggestive of a prelude to a final action in my view. Where the governments of Libya, Syria, Egypt, Iraq etc not demonized as a prelude to the final actions in those countries? I blame the unfolding events on the ungovernable advocates who supported, condoned and shielded those terrorists just because they didnt like the face of the current president of Nigeria. If they had risen earlier than now to condemn and deny the terrorists popular support would anyone be inviting America and other foreign predators? If they had been honest in confronting this issue 2 years ago will we be inside this one chance bus? We have run out of options now. Either those elders prevail on Boko to return all 276 girls today without pre-condition or we have to live with the expected problems from foreign intervention in our country. The choice is ours and I will rather encourage our protesters to refocus and ask for Boko Haram to release the girls immediately. Then we can collectively ask America and company to return to their country immediately. But it must be noted that if Nigerian soldiers and elders fail to find the girls immediately and the Americans do, some of us will ask American soldiers to remain and finish off the terrorists as well as expose their sponsors. Many of us are tired of the politics of Boko Haram and simply want to move on in the task of nation building. If you know where the girls are or have information on that, act now or live with the unfolding events in our one chance bus.
