Egypt Man arrested for flashing Rabaa sign Egyptian security forces on Monday detained a man for flashing the four-fingered Rabaa al-Adawiya sign at the Tahrir Square as scores of people were marking the 41st anniversary of a 1973 military victory over Israel. The man flashed the sign, which commemorates last years violent dispersal of a major protest camp in support of ousted president Mohamed Morsi which left hundreds of protesters dead, while celebrators were marking the anniversary at Tahrir Square.The man was held by celebrators and handed over to the police. Egyptian authorities accuse those flashing the Rabaa sign of belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood, the movement from which Morsi hails, which was declared a terrorist group by Egypt in December. The pro-Morsi National Alliance for the Defense of Legitimacy on Sunday called on supporters to stage protests on Monday to mark the passage of one year since scores of pro-Morsi supporters were killed in clashes with security forces during celebrations of the October 6 victory.
