Egyptian court sentences 529 people to death for supporting the legitimate, elected President of Egypt. There are also other charges, but there is no way the court could possibly have received sufficient evidence to support a guilty verdict. The trial took two days. It is reported that defense attorneys were not allowed to call any witnesses, or even make oral statements on behalf of clients. They were limited to written submissions. On TV, a defense attorney said the attorneys were not even allowed to attend the final session of the trial.
