Egyptians who choose not to participate in #PresidentialElections describing it as a farce and believing that #Sabbahi is going to lose anyway obviously do not understand the principles of the #democracy to which they so strongly cling. I agree that #Sisi is most likely going to win; however, winning 90-10% is quite different than 70-30%. (1) a landslide win would make #Sisi, as president, believe that he does not need to make any political concessions, which defies the purpose of the democratic process. (2) a loss with a significant minority would allow #Sabbahi to lead opposition, which is necessary to create balance in a democratic system. It would, also, pave the way for competitive, multi-party parliamentary elections that are essential given the jurisdictions of the #HouseOfRepresentatives as per the #constitution, which most of you fools didnt care to read!
