EDIRNE, Turkey Turkeys Health Minister Tuesday condemned the death sentence handed out by court in Egypt to 529 members of the Muslim Brotherhood on Monday. Mehmet Muezzinoglu on a visit to Turkeys northwestern border province of Edirne said It is a shame for democracy and humanity. He said it appeared that civilized and developed countries remain silent on these issues, while intervening in other countries. I do not understand why United Nations, European Union and the U.S. watch these events. The supporters of deposed President Mohamad Morsi, were sentenced to death following an attack on a police station in which an Egyptian police officer was killed. The trial lasted only two sessions, and has sparked worldwide condemnation. [email protected]
