Eight Year 3 Visual Arts students participated in the Arts Excellence Programme to Tokyo and Shizuoka, Japan from October 22 to 29. The students visited significant art museums in Tokyo such as Tokyo National Museum, National Art Center Tokyo, Edo-Tokyo Museum and Mori Art Museum. They also visited cultural sites such as Meiji-Jingu Shrine, Tsukiji Fish Market, Shitamachi and Omote-sando architecture walking tour. They also attended workshops in traditional Japanese arts and crafts, such as Surugawa Dye, Suruga Lacquerware and Ukiyo-e print.
