Eight years ago, today on 6th of November, another first for Turkey has been found by Soner Bekir in Rumeli Feneri, Istanbul. A Siberian Accentor (Prunella montanella), brother of Black-throated Accentor. Both Accentors are just amazing and Siberian has only two records. With the BTA on 31st of October which was ringed at Kızılırmak delta, Turkish checklist now has 5 accentors and 478 species at total. We will soon start to countdown for the last 20, for 500 milestone! :) A client of mine send me a reply when he heard about the Black throated, You are right - there are Accentors out there - all we have to do is find them !!
