Eight years has passed since I joined ARIVA! Events Management, Inc. It has been such a happy time - a time where I shared my expertise, a time where I imparted skills and some life lessons and aptly also a time where I learned a lot and honed my capabilities. I have learned that ARIVA! Events is composed of a group of people that gives selflessly of their time and expertise. I have been involved in meetings, events and lots of activities and I really value the opportunities that I have been exposed to. I now have more understanding for what it takes to run a company such as ARIVA! Events - the strategic and tactical planning that is required, the sleepless nights, the overwhelming tasks involved - while at the same time keeping everyone in the team happy and productive, maintaining the honor and integrity of our company. All that while still being open to innovative change. It has been a significant learning curve for me and one which I undoubtedly learned a great deal from. The past eight years have also taught me the value of having a positive and enthusiastic group of co-workers. I have witnessed colleagues giving tirelessly of their time to enhance the image and productivity of ARIVA! Events. I just want to acknowledge that you have all played your part in making our company a happier and more productive place. I have also learned that this is the role that I will always strive to emulate. I also need to acknowledge just how much I have been shaped by my colleagues, friends and of course, the best mentor I ever had, Sir JM. I have a myriad of experiences, too many to mention, that have impacted my life in such a memorable and meaningful way. What follows barely scratches the surface of all that I have learned over the years, but bear with me as I make mention of some of these memories. I have learned, dear friends, -that it takes a group of very special people to commit to their jobs on a daily basis - even when the going gets tough - and believe me, weve all experienced how tough can become really tougher over the years. -that a company is maintained on a daily basis by a group of smiling and cheerful individuals who choose to be happy… despite the challenges encountered, still striving to be always happy! I have learned, -that the peals of laughter I hear resounding from another part of your office reflect the vibrant and happy people that we are fortunate to have. -that sharing food over stories and laughter before the day ends with friends can make a difference – t can give you that much needed perspective on why one should stay happy. -that you can count on them when the world somehow seems too heavy to bear. These people will help lift up your burden, making it lighter till you can again stand on your own, - and, incidentally you can always rely on someone in your office when your computer doesn’t connect to the network! Very importantly, I have learned, -that we are exposed to phenomenal opportunities for growth at ARIVA! Events And finally, personally, I have learned that Friends are the family you choose!”. And the whole ARIVA! Events Management, Inc is one big family, indeed. I am extremely grateful for the role that everyone has played throughout the years - they have been happy years for me. May the good wishes so beautifully expressed in the Irish Blessing be ever present in our lives! “May you always have work for your hands to do. May your pockets always hold a coin or two. May the sun shine bright upon your window pane. May a rainbow follow each rain. And may the hand of a friend always be near you.”
