Eileidh had a brilliant day today. She had her EEG at 11.30am, which was the first time she had ever had one. We were taken into a small room & I sat in a big armchair on the middle of it with Eileidh on my knee, facing the TV at the side of the chair. Eileidh has 22 little probes stuck onto her head with bits of tape & one on each arm. Each area was cleaned with facial cleanser, to help it stick, then a small blob of hair gel mixed with salt was put onto those areas for the probe to be put onto. Amazingly, Eileidh sat quite happily throughout the whole process, including when they used a strobe light. The only thing she wouldnt cooperate with was closing her eyes for 3 seconds. Once the EEG was finished we headed to Day Case for Eileidh to have her bloods taken then her bionectars & wiggly dressing changed. Before we left the house this morning Eileidh had another pad put onto her nappy to try & get a urine sample since we couldnt get one last week. Unfortunately we still havent been able to get one yet so will try again on Monday when she goes in to start differentiation. We went for lunch then shopping once we had finished but headed back to RACH around 3.30pm. We went up to medical ward first & saw one of Eileidhs little friends & one of her favourite nurses, who Eileidh hasnt seen for a few months :) We stayed for a short while then went back down to Day Case as they were having their Christmas party. Eileidh was in her element as the Love Rara princesses, princes & heroes were there! She very quickly attached herself to Else, Anna & Ariel, following them around & trying to take them to play in the playroom. It was an amazing day for her & she even got a present from Santa. Cerys also got one too! When we finally got her to leave the ward to go home, she fell asleep quickly in the car & went to bed shortly after getting home. Very sleepy but happy girl tonight
