Either the BJP leaders are absolutely superb actors or they are genuinely interested in providing good governance for all. Ive seen snippets of interviews with Arun Jaitley, Uma Bharati, and Amit Shah and it seems to me that they are articulate, positive and level-headed - being neither swayed by the fulsome praise showered on them by old show anchors singing new tunes, nor deviating from their core message of good governance. As opposed to some of the Congress leaders who sound defensive, sulky, and bitter, as if the electorate had taken away their favorite lollypop. All these BJP leaders have said so far, and repeatedly at that, that good governance and development is their governments only agenda, and while there will be no witch-hunts, neither will there be any undue favoritism. Some naysayers and cynics will probably take that latter as just a euphemism for witch-hunts, and point to it as yet another example of double-speak on the part of the BJP. Still, only time will tell, and we can only wait and watch. I, on my part, seriously hope that they are going to be earnest and genuine - for the sake of the country, for the sake of the world, and for the sake of the idea of optimism.
