Ek dra hierdie blad op aan Hom wat alles en almal geskape het en die mens aan stuur van die natuur geplaas het, nie om uit te wis nie maar om respek te toon. Duisende diere moet daagliks ly en selfs sterf weens een spesie, die mens se onkunde, selfsug en gierigheid. Many animal species evolved over hundreds of thousands of years have become extinct at the hands of man and scores of others are on the very verge of extinction. Animals which have taken all those millennia to acquire their unique and exquisite adaptions to their environment, now stand in imminent danger of being wiped out in a few decades because people do not care enough to prevent it. Does man have the right to wipe out an animal species just because it is of no practical use to him, or is a nuisance to him? The wildlife of today is not ours to dispose of as we please. We have it in trust, and must account for it to those who come after - King George vi . People enjoy animals, to wipe them out is foolish and irresponsible because it deprives present and future people of a basic enjoyment. All over the world the evolution of man and his technology has spelled disaster for living creatures- by reducing their available habitat and by killing too many of them.
