Ek kry nou net die volgende in my inbox, het julle ander dit ook gekry of was dit net vir my persoonlik bedoel? Jammer om so hard op julle sentiment te reageer maar ek kan nie anders nie: The Afrikaners Against Racism Facebook group, at first glance, appears to be a sad, opportunistic and naïve lot of white South African hypocrites who like to portray themselves as enlightened, intellectual, liberal and... even more aggrieved than the actual victims (who they have already so innocently decided can only be black people locally) of racism. They vociferously berate their own in a haughty manner and but still expect public praise and sanction for it?! Although I appreciate and fully concur with most ideals and reasons for the eradication of racism, I despise this particular group’s unilateral approach, intellectual myopia, dishonesty and deliberate discounting or ignoring of obvious facts and credible statistics. Their biased and unilateral approach is so blatantly flawed, and predisposed towards what they claim and believe to be correct, that it begs the question : Is their hidden agenda more sinister, childlike or both? It is pseudo intellectuals like these, who do not study questions, issues or problems properly and who (for whatever unscientific reasons) lose all remnants of objective analysis in the process but still cling to their flawed opinionated beliefs with fanatical and religious fervor... just to perpetuate problems indefinitely. Their approach is totally counterproductive, to say the least. Responsible and compassionate seekers of permanent, true, lasting and fair (or the best possible) solutions to or remedies for the problems of racism cannot even begin to take the Afrikaners Against Racism group seriously at this stage.
