Ekaterina Graff Good evening, my dear friends... May be you are not interested, may be you dont want to shadow your festive mood of approaching X-mas. And yet, I cannot hold myself from sharing the news with you, my friends... Millions of Ukrainian people who continue standing on the cold streets and squares of Kiev and all other cities and towns of Ukraine, demanded resignation of the President and the Ukrainian government. Today the Parliament voted against both of these demands. It was predictable, as the party of the President has the majority and the Communist party, which could make the difference if voted, decided to refrain from participation in this procedure. Talk about the connection of communists with their people. Obviously, there is none. Seventy years of the Communist regime in the Soviet empire was not about the good of people, it was a pure propaganda of the utopian ideas. The President, ignoring the people on the streets and their demands, hopped in the plane and left for China to conduct trade negotiations. Later this week, he is planning to have a meeting with the President Putin. He simply does not listen, or does not understand - Ukrainians are fighting to belong to Europe and he goes to China and Russia instead. People demand early elections to the Parliament and his own resignation, and he says that next time when he is planning to talk to people or opposition parties will be the regular elections of 2015. On the other hand, the opposition parties are too weak, they cannot stand up to the level of the movement. The Ukrainian nation is much more mature than her political leaders - either those, who already benefit from their top places, like the Ukrainian President and his son, who, out of a sudden, one year ago found himself on one of the key positions, or those, who are still dreaming about it. At this particular moment, people organize their own Committee, which is called the Lobby of Euromaidan on the barricaded central square of Kiev (Euromaidan), and they start their own Information center. The most important is - FOR THE FIRST TIME PEOPLE START UNDERSTANDING THAT STATE IS NOT POLITICIANS. STATE IS THE NATION. POLITICIANS DO NOT HAVE THE REAL POWER, THEY HAVE THE REPRESSIVE MACHINE, THE REAL POWER BELONGS TO PEOPLE...
