Ekiti PDP Crisis; Cttee appeals to aggrieved aspirants. People’s Democratic Party, PDP, reconciliation committee in Ekiti has appealed to the remaining 12 aggrieved gubernatorial aspirants to sheathe their swords and embrace peace in the interest of the party. Chairman of the committee and a former senator, who spoke yesterday, appealed to the remaining aspirants to embrace Fayose without further delay. It will be recalled that one of the aggrieved aspirants, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, has already joined forces with Fayose. According to him: “The party is taking ultimate steps to appease the aggrieved aspirants. I have been mandated to broker peace among them in the interest of our party. It is on this strength that I started with Prince Dayo Adeyeye, who is a leading aspirant. We need to quickly bring him back to the party fully. “We will reach out to all of them. Our goal is to win election for the PDP. I am not doing this for the former Governor Ayodele Fayose but for the PDP. I am a party man and I have been given the mandate to bring everybody on board and this we will achieve in the interest of peace.”
