Elaine and I attended the weekend of the Manitoba Elks and Royal Purple Walk for Kids in Selkirk hosted by Winnipeg Elks #10 and Royal Purple #12. Fun meet and greet on Friday evening. Saturday we played Price is Right and Plinko at the Ag Centre in Marine Park and then to the Marine Museum for a Treasure Hunt before a great lunch in the mess hall of the Joe Simpson dry docked there. The walk centered around the River Walk and even though cold and windy was well attended by around 90 people. Parents and children from the Hearing Centre walked with us as well. Our evening banquet and entertainment was attend by approximately 70+. We heard from Sharna a parent from the Centre about her sons hearwarming story. It was with pride that we witnessed all the funds donated to the Fund for Children. A big thank you to Brother Bob and his committee for a job well done. We had a great time seeing old friends and making new ones. We are now onward to our next destination in our travels - Morden.
