Elastic properties of solids if we apply equal forces of low magnitude @ the ends of a piece of wire by pulling(or stretching)if we notice that the piece of wire returns to its original shape or form if the tensile forces are removed.if the tensile forces are increased in small steps,and reduced to zero each time,it will be observed that the wire will return to it original length,shape and form until such a particular value of force is reached when the wire will not assume it original shape and form.we now say that the wire has reached its ELASTIC LIMIT.L.S
