Elder Eckersley emailed several pics this week, but due to technical issues, I wont post them till next week. Heres an update on how hes doing: We’re having a lot of success sharing the He is the Gift video with everybody. It has been a way that we are able to talk to people, because when we tell them that we’re missionaries, they’re like, Oh no thanks. We’re good. And then we ask them to check out the Christmas video and they’re like, Oh yeah, we can do that, and then that usually opens up the conversation to more questions. So it’s really good. This week we picked up some new couches from a member, and we got there late, and as our punishment, for being late, they took us out to eat... haha. They took us to Tom’s Burgers, which is really good! But while we were there I was able to talk to the son about going on a mission and how fun it is, so I’m hoping he decides to go out! That same day our place was sprayed for bugs and stuff, so we had to stay out of the house for several hours. The bugs have returned so we’re thinking the problem is coming from another house. Bugs bug me. Oh, so we went on exchanges and I was with Elder Boss, and he said he had never eaten as much as he did that day. Poor kid was rolling on the floor when we got home - haha. Almost every house we went to that day hooked us up with food. He now knows to get a to-go plate if it’s too much. We had Family Home Evening with two families on Saturday night and they were super fun! The first one was with the Anderson family and we played this game where one person is completely unable to function on their own. So everybody else was in charge of one of the body parts of that person. So as a group they had to get from one side of the room to the other either carrying or picking up something to or on the other side of the room. It was the first time that both me and Elder Bartlik tried it, and it went super well. Then we taught the Faalogo family about the Spirit and how it works. After the lesson Brother Faalogo showed us his studio where he makes his beats. He’s working on making some rasta music at the moment. His dad has a band which is well known to the Samoans in So. Cal. So we got called up Saturday night saying that we had to teach three different classes on Sunday, during Sunday school. So we prepped pretty well for all of them; turns out that we only had to teach our Mission Prep class. So all that prep for nothing... ha kidding. Well that’s it for this week. Love you all. Have an awesome week! Elder Eckersley S/O to Dom Sagapolu - can’t believe she has been in the MTC for 6 weeks already?! She heads to Guatemala tonight. Wish her luck everybody! mormon.org/christmas
