Electing a leader is a game of chance. Philippine administrations - TopicsExpress

Electing a leader is a game of chance. Philippine administrations time and time again proved that a one 6-years term is not working. If you have a great leader, you only have 6 years to benefit from a good leadership. If you have a bad leader, you are stuck for 6 years. Impeachment is expensive in terms of time and resource especially when it is motivated by personal agenda. There needs to be an overhaul in the political tenure here in US & the Philippines starting with presidency. In my non-pundit opinion, 3 3-years term limit would work. 1st term: Elect based on resume, perceived leadership qualities, character and campaign promises; 2nd term: Elect based on demonstrated performance, leadership and character; 3rd term: Elect based on full trust that he will complete his contracted job. If you elect your official on the 2nd term based on demonstrated performance, leadership & good character, most likely you are contributing something good to the society. Otherwise the joke is on you and your country.
