Election day is almost here. Here is my thinking: GOVERNORs race: Nathan Deal has done a great job in his first term. Governor Deal has guided us through some very choppy waters after the economic calamity of 2008/2009 and put us on solid footing. Cant vote for Jimmys grandson (was happy to have voted against Carter in 1976 and Jason is trying to ride his coattails). The LP candidate took millions in government handouts and now says he is a small government champion. On top of that, his tax proposal (to have the state reimburse all employers 100% of the matching payroll tax) is absolutely moronic. Bottom line is that Nathan Deal has earned my vote and is the only real choice. US SENATE race David Perdue and I dont agree on all of the issues. But David gets my vote and unqualified support. David is out to fix our deficit addiction, which was the reason I got into the race in the first place. Michelle Nunn is a sheep in wolfs clothing -- she is pretending to be things she is not. Why not just own up to her positions, instead of hiding behind non-answers (what I have labeled Nunn-answers)? Bottom line is that David Perdue is the clear choice. I am voting for David.
