Election is so important for democracy. If Hong Kong people cant - TopicsExpress

Election is so important for democracy. If Hong Kong people cant decide their leader, they will lose everything they got in the last 100 years. No doubt, the socialists who know nothing about Chinese culture and want to be dictators are not Chinese. At least, I wont acknowledge they are. The only nation I acknowledge is republic of China, during 1912-1949. Actually, they know nothing about Marxism either. They know they are not socialists and they know they are capitalists, but they dont dare to acknowledge that. They will keep brainwashing students, manipulating media, exploiting workers, controlling the Hong Kong government, even military repressing. There is nothing wrong to protest. However, democracy has its own flaws, and even election can not guarantee democracy. American democracy is not that efficient. France has too many tiny parties. In USA, people elect leader depends on if they are famous, if they appear on TV. In UK, people leave it to the parliament. Though Hong Kong get democracy, can people or parliament elect the right person? After Hong Kong protest movement, maybe it will lead to chaos, riots and so on. Hong Kong is developed area, how many people will spend time on protesting? The point is that I worry they will lose more, though they win the war. People decide to have collective action only upon they are extremely discontent. Moreover, in this democratic crisis, usually, people will unite and a saint will appear, and he will promise something impossible to accomplish. He is so charming and persuasive that everyone wants to follow him. Finally, he will be a dictator and tyrant. However, people are still thankful to this guy. Mao and Hitler are good examples. But if Hong Kong people dont protest, or use violence, how can the Chinese government leave them alone? The socialists already educate students to be idiots who know nothing about Confucianism and Buddhism. What do they want now? Power, power, power, Dying, Dying, Dying. I dont wanna see what happen in 1989 anymore. I wish Hong Kong people can calm down and think about what politics is. Only peaceful and calm people can change the reality, radicals cant. Beware, when you are fighting with a monster, dont be another monster. Only centralized power(hongkong) can beat another centralize power(mainland). If Hong Kong have the strength to refuse to listen to the socialists, I wish Hong Kong can still be Hong Kong. The mainland of China is already dead and it is time for Chinese culture to move on. Hong Kong and Taiwan are the last place to keep Chinese culture, though they are developing their own native and local culture. though I know native Taiwanese suffered from the national party. I know... A nation will fall, but a culture will never die.
