Election preparedness reviewed at Kulgam ANANTNAG, MARCH 04: Stressing on strict monitoring for smooth and fair conduct of the elections District Election Officer, Kulgam, Mr. Jehangir Ahmad Mir today convened a meeting to review the preparedness of concerned departments . Charring a joint meeting of ARO’s, Tehsildars and other concerned officers, District Election Officer stressed on completing the ongoing videography of all polling stations. The ARTO was directed to finalize the transport arrangements and also fix hiring charges for different types of vehicles to be utilized during the coming elections. Chief Education Officer was directed to get ramps constructed at all polling stations located in different educational instructions. It was given out in the meeting that 60 percent of polling stations are already equipped with ramp facility. The Assistant Commissioner Revenue was directed to raise temporary toilets around the polling stations during the polling dates.
