#ElectionsMW: The leadership of the United Independence Party has promised to form a decentralization government that will prioritise the needs of the people if voted into power on May 20. The party believes the only way to deal with the financial challenges that has affected the country to develop for 50 years since independence is to vote for a new political party. Speaking during a campaign rally in Neno, UIPs Helen Singh said she is going into government not to enrich herself but to give medicine to the sick Malawi economy which is at the verge of collapsing. On agriculture, Singh said it was disheartening to learn that the past governments have been sidelining Neno district which has the potential to develop Malawi with its favorable climate and fertile soil for fruits. She promised that her government will construct small factories in the area that will be producing juices for export, saying this will attract potential donors to construct a tar-mark road from Tsangano turn off to Mwanza district to help farmers transport their produce easily.
