Electric eels control their prey’s movements using bursts of electricity, which act on their nervous systems. In this video, an electric eel hunts and catches a small fish (shown in slow-motion). In full-color sequences, knocklike sounds indicate electrical discharges from the eels. Black-and-white sequences have been colorized red to indicate when the eel is releasing electrical charges.
