Electrical Engineer (Louisville) Description Experienced Electrical Controls Engineer needed for custom packaging machine manufacturer. The electrical engineer is responsible for the conceptual electrical design of custom packaging machinery including cost estimating, the bill of materials, materials procurement, managing the electrical installation and control software integration. High level software controls, design, and programming of automated industrial equipment is required. PLC expertise must include Allen-Bradley platforms and the willingness to expand into other platforms. Servo motion experience with Allen Bradley Kinetix products is strongly preferred but a candidate proficient in all other areas with the adept ability to develop a servo motion skillset will be considered. An ideal candidate will be equally comfortable crossing between Controls Engineering and Electrical Engineering responsibilities. Requirements • 5 years of experience in Electrical Machine & Controls Systems Engineering • Allen Bradley PLC (Control, Compact, Micro) & Software (RSLogix & FactoryTalk View) • Responsible for Electrical Design, adhering to all applicable codes (NEC, NFPA, UL508) & customer specifications • BOM Development & Procurement • Ability to trouble shoot and resolve problems in an independent and team environment • Experience with Servo Motion Controls strongly preferred • AutoCad (2d, schematics) • Microsoft Windows and Office proficient • Willing to travel anywhere from 15% to 30% • BSEE, BSEET preferred but other engineering backgrounds with qualified experience considered Pay Rate: 60k-80k/ year
