Eli Yoder is a black and white boxer I rescued from Holmes County, - TopicsExpress

Eli Yoder is a black and white boxer I rescued from Holmes County, Amish County, Ohio. They said he was 11 years old and that was over a year ago. He was a breeding machine that had run out of steam so they wanted him put down. I brought him home and we fell in love. This handsome devil brought us much comfort when we suddenly lost Duanes first and only dog, Tank. Recently Eli began licking his front leg non-stop. I discovered wounds that were oozing. This was an agonizing weekend as I knew that I had to take him to the vet today- of all days. So as Im grieving 6 months without my husband, children and grandchildren I was deeply worried I would lose our Eli. Dr. Tom Thomas Wood, of the Lorain Animal Clinic (where Herbie was saved) examined Eli Yoder this evening. He believes its an abscess infected a couple of weeks ago as Eli and a foster dog wrestled in our yard. I have to watch him, but for now, Thank God and LAC Yoder isnt going anywhere. Hes my only boy now and I cannot lose him. I was so happy I cried. Thank you, Lorain Animal Clinic for taking care of my old baby boy.
