Eliana has gained 3oz! She now weighs 2 lb 4 oz. She is almost back up to her birth weight. They upped her fortified breastmilk feedings from 18ml to now 22ml! Tomorrow they will up her to 26ml and then take her mid-line IV out!! Yay! She will be completely off IV fluids and will be solely on a breastmilk diet! ... my little big kid ;) The results came back concerning the second opinion on her heart. A well known, trustworthy NICU cardiologist at Childrens Hospital took a look. He saw the same heart condition as the other cardiologist did. But he also said that Eliana IS a candidate for this procedure where they would band an artery to stop fluid from entering her lungs, which would *hopefully* give her enough time to grow big enough for her heart surgery! What great news!!! We will get another heart ultrasound next week to look at the hole again and see if there has been any changes in size or blood flow. Eliana, One week old, baby girl, and so strong. You amaze us. We are so proud of you. Mommy & daddy love you!
