Candidates with the following eligibility criteria can apply for M.A courses in this university – In order to take direct admission for M.A course, candidates must essentially complete B.A (Hons) in History with at least 60% marks. It is necessary to score 50% marks in B.A (Hons) in History to secure admission for M.A course through admission test. Candidates who have passed either B.A (Hons) /B.Sc (Hons) /B.Com (Hons) with 60% marks can also submit applications for M.A History course in Delhi University. Selection Procedure for M.A History in Delhi University The selection procedure for M.A History in Delhi University includes two different categories. Category –A involves a direct admission procedure where in the admission will be given to students who are successful in attaining the specified percentage of marks required for securing admission for this course. Category –B of the selection process is based on a written admission test conducted by the university. The written examination is carried out for a total of 100 marks. The selection test comprises of multiple choice questions for different subject area students. There will be two separate parts in Paper -1 specific to B.A (Hons), B.Com (Hons) and B.Sc (Hons) students. Candidates must finish answering the admission test within 3 hours time limit. Foreign students availing the government of India scholarship need not attempt the admission test. It is compulsory for candidates to attain at least 40% of marks in the admission test to get qualified for the further selection procedures. Application Procedure for M.A History in Delhi University In order to apply for M.A History course in Delhi University, candidates need to follow an offline application procedure. As part of the initial application process, candidates must first pay the application fees of Rs 250/- (Rs 100/- for SC/ST candidates). Candidates who are taking Category – B admission process (through written examination) need to pay the application fees as cash or Demand Draft (DD) on behalf of The Executive Director, School of Open Learning, University of Delhi. Candidates should paste self attested photograph with signature while submitting the application form.
