Elise N. Gotschall asked I have a food question....i know there are a million of them but i am at odds as to why my danes are BOTH losing weight! I am feeding them Nutrena River Run 24/20 and have with my danes in the past with good results, but we aquired the two we have now not really planned. One came to us really skinny and has out on some weight but not a lot and the other is a Euro and was a nice weight when she came to us but in the last 2 weeks or so i can really tell that shes lost weight! i switched them to nutro max lamb and rice just to try it and see if it would help them fill out some but so far they just dont seem to like it. 2 vet visits comfirmed NO WORMS or parasites and both have been on continuous flea and heartworm medication. they are the color patterns that get the most health problems (merle mantle, and a deaf fawnequin) so i am just not sure what is going on or what else i could do differently. they both act normal and are very lively. any advice is appriciated! Oh! and i am in the middle of switching jobs right now so the RAW diet is not an option for me, even though some claim its cheaper i never found that to be the case.
