Ell Dwe Koda Animal Sanctuary recently received a most generous - TopicsExpress

Ell Dwe Koda Animal Sanctuary recently received a most generous donation of $500 from Friends Of The Animals of Jackson County. We are able to purchase 125 bales of hay to assist in getting us through the hardest winter months. GOD BLESS THEM!! Diane Cerqueira, board member and animal activist, animal lover, animals angel, of Friends Of The Animals, shared that during their board meeting they graciously offered to host an event for Ell Dwe Koda. Because the usual venue may not be able to hold everyone, I am asking if you would be interested in attending this event if you could email me back at marilyn.renee@hotmail with a Yes I am interested. so we have somewhat of an idea of the number of people interested. Now, here are the rough details- The Wine Event will take place in May, a weekend evening, with a small food dish and/or hors doeuvres/cheese, variety of wine. There will be a silent auction. Proceeds will go directly to Ell Dwe Koda. Tickets will be $35 - $40 per person. What a way to ring in summer than to visit with friends, family, make new acquaintances, eat, drink, bid on some treasures, and support Gods creatures! And, it is right around Mothers Day and wouldnt it be a wonderful gift to purchase a ticket...a gift for Mom and to assist a good cause. So if I could please ask those who may be interested to email me, I would so appreciate it. Once we have a number to work with, those interested will be notified of the concrete details. If you could let me know by this Friday, November 15, that would be wonderful.....planning these events takes time Emoji As always, please keep the animals in your prayers asking St. Francis to intercede, praying that God keep them safe, happy, and healthy. One more thing, I wanted to share an event going on right now sponsored by the Friends Of The Animals below. Thank you FOTA for supporting our Veterans!! November 12 through 26, 2013 Pets For Veterans. These are the dates listed for our third Pets For Veterans program to be held at the Jackson County Animal Shelter in Jackson. During this time Friends will pay the adoption fee of one dog or up to two cats for any veteran who comes in with a photo ID and a copy of their discharge papers (DD214). We have set aside up to $2,000 to pay for these adoptions as a way to honor our local veterans and heroes. Our program has been so successful in the past, we felt that we would like to run it again, starting with Nov. 12th which is the day after Veterans Day and run it for two weeks to give veterans plenty of time to find just the right pet to adopt into their family. The kennel hours for the shelter are M-F, 10 am - 4:30 pm, Sat., 10 am - 1 pm. Closed on Sunday. Their address is 3370 Spring Arbor Rd., Jackson. If you are a veteran or if you know a veteran who would like to take home a new best friend, please stop in the shelter or pass on the word to visit the animals just waiting for a new home. friendsoftheanimalsjackson.org/ Love to you all and may God bless you.
