He chose a song that perfectly fits his vocal range and background. As a former street child who rose to fame, Bugembe’s rendition is nearly flawless. His emotions are in sync with the lyrics, because he relates to each word he sings. The female guest artiste on Bugembe’s version sounds more comfortable with the lyrics than the one in the original; bet she’s from his church. The only shortcoming is that he starts off by paying a direct tribute to Wamala, which is basically uncalled for. Verdict: A very good song.
