Elle McRae I think my rescue boy is going to be a troubled shedder. When I got him he had a retained shed built up on his torso. For 3 weeks now his tail and legs have been chalk white. Been soaking him for as long as he will allow me to (usually 5 or 6 minutes before he has a coronary) at least 5 days a week. Today when I got home from work I noticed he is peeling one scale at a time. He was walking on his half log hidey hut when he caught some shed and it peeled off in a strip. The strip underneath (not exposed side but side that sits on his new scales) was moist and tacky? Sticky to the point that if I pressed my finger onto it, it stuck pretty good. I have never experienced that on any reptile. Have any of you folks?
