Elna Katrina Crawford Ezell Mrs. Elna Katrina Crawford Ezell, 89, died June 29, 2014 at Bedford Nursing Home in Marion, MS. The funeral service will be held at Stephens Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with visitation preceding from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Reverend Michael Beasley will be officiating. Mrs. Ezell, of Meridian, MS was born in Enterprise, MS to the late Robert Bryan and Alice Cornelia Kidd Crawford. Mrs. Ezell graduated high school from Pachuta High School and graduated from Matty Hersee School of Nursing. Mrs. Ezell enjoyed a successful career in nursing in Meridian; she retired from the Lauderdale County Health Department. During retirement, she enjoyed birding, ceramics and needle work. She was a devoted caregiver to her parents and will be remembered as a loving and caring lady. Mrs. Ezell was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Ezell was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Mr. Glenn William Ezell; parents, her step father, James Don Valentine, and two sisters, Lillian Kathryn Crawford and Mary Alice Crawford Marshall. Survivors include one sister, Lois Laverne Crawford Dabbs of Meridian, and one brother, Robert Bryan Crawford Jr. (Elise) of Enterprise, MS. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Ezell’s memory may be made to Pine Hill Baptist Church Benevolence Fund at 1706 County Road 331, Enterprise, MS 39330.
