Eloise, Laurie, Candice, Kevin, Jennifer, Mary, Jerry, Adam... this is SO effing cool! I remember seeing TED talks several years ago discussing the extracellular matrix and what effect it had on cells and this is really cool to see it being applied to something positive. I have no excitement about seeing it applied to war, I feel if we really didnt want our soldiers to get holes in them that we would not put them in front of bullets, but I think all the other applications will be totally amazing. I heart transplant could be patched up in moments. A woman who was forced to deliver with cesarean section patched back together so that you almost couldnt tell. I A burn victim could have their skin restore to normal if they were able to get to this extra cellular matrix quick enough. I just pray that some greedy individuals wont turn this into an intellectual property hostage situation where nobody in the world is allowed to use the discovery except for the greedy individuals who want to get rich off of it.
