Elton John is the most paid star in Las Vegas! Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez have both been named in connection with the Britney Spears competing Las Vegas residency. But neither will out-diva Sir Elton John, whose salary is thought to be more than $500k for every Nevada show at The Colosseum. Eltons new venue has fewer tickets to sell than Britneys Planet Hollywood gig but he still stands to take home $25k more than the Lucky singer every night. TMZ reports that the Im Still Standing singers deal specifies his share of 88% of door sales every night, which includes VIP seats that range from $55 to $1,000. Britney has been performing at Las Vegas Planet Hollywood venue since September 2014, which has more seats than The Colossium, where Elton will take residency Kanye West reportedly turned down the opportunity for a nine-day residency in Sin City that would have earned him $4.5 million in October 2014. The rap artists salary would have just matched CBE British artist Eltons $500k per show for his stretch and would have been up within three weeks. Cher once owned Las Vegas Colossium venue with her residency but Celine Dions is perhaps the most famous residency in Nevadas recent history. Sir Elton has spent eight of the last 10 years on the Las Vegas strip and recently announced January, March and April 2015 performance dates for The Million Dollar Piano. Eltons 2004 show, The Red Piano show, opened at The Colosseum and was originally a 75-date stretch but was expanded to 241 and finished in 2009. His latest show is named after a fabulous piano that Yamaha has been working on for four years . Audiences can look forward to all the old classics, including Rocket Man, Benny and the Jetts, Tiny Dancer and Crocodile Rock.
