Elves versus Mermaids from William Mistele Comment: I really enjoyed you on the Blogtalk show!!! I have identified with mermaids since i can remember and the elementals and you are awesome. Thank you!! Response: There is the water in your aura but it is different. More like elves. Lorenna McKennitts The Mummers Dance pops into my head. So it is not just water. There is the playfulness of air and that art sense the fairies have of enjoying the moment. How can I compare these two? If I enter the realm of mermaids like now it is perfectly understandable to me when mermaid women often or almost always say, I exist to love. There is nothing else in this realm but love, innocence, happiness, contentment, peace, serenity, and their extreme empathy of feeling a part of everything. If I focus it is like I can sense all water on earth and within water is a nurturing vibration the encompasses, encircles, and saturates this entire planet with love which is there if someone opens their astral senses to perceive and feel it. And so I often speculate and say that the human race suffers from some astonishing curse that the Pope, the former Billy Graham, the original Martin Luther, and certainly the Apostle Paul can not sense and perceive, feel or imagine, and neither has it entered their dreams the glory and wonder of creation that such depths of love surround everyone of us in every moment of time. And so the mermaid women who incarnate are really going to have a hard time of it trying to love in a world and among a species that has no experience of love as an energy that is part of the fabric of the universe and is something you can perceive and feel and observe operating in and around you. All the same, one time I introduced a mermaid woman to a sylph woman and the mermaid woman had a hard time responding to her because she said the sylph woman was too dry. That is, she was not water. And another time a mermaid woman considered sylphs to be invasive and facetious but I saw them in that moment as being playful and flirting. Mermaids are in the moment but they dont enjoy the moment to the same extent as elves and sylphs in an artistic sense though mermaids can do wonderful, magical singing. The mermaids are innocent but they dont play in this sense: I cannot recall my ever doing anything that was pure play with the mermaid women I have known. Mermaid women can be very flirtatious at times and extremely engaging and always or almost always loving if they are not stressed out. But they are flowing pure love which misses that the present moment does not need to connect to others or to be love or be there as love for others. Sometimes the moment is just happy and filled with delight in this way--because harmony is everywhere and mermaids often know nothing about the harmony of the air element and of the sky that balances opposite like hot and cold, wet and dry, high and low pressure, and in the same instant being totally engaged and totally detached. Mermaids are often very independent and totally responding in this moment and adapting to the person or situation they are in. And they can feel exactly what you feel. And they can be still like a pure pool of water that reflects the past and the future. But they are never like a mirror that is on the wall and you look into it and see yourself as you are in this moment without comment. A mermaid cannot help commenting or responding with love to who you are and what you need. A sylph or elf can do that always very easily if she half tries. The glory of a mermaid is that if you have water inside yourself and touch one of them on the arm you feel the water or the sea in her and you feel one with her in that moment. That kind of love destroys separation, loneliness, and isolation. If you touch the arm of a sylph or some kinds of elves, to connect to her you had better love freedom, detachment, and the vastness of the sky; and this also--every nuance and subtly of sensory perception occurring in this moment. With a mermaid you can just melt into her if you are holding her in a very slow dance. With a sylph, think tango--the passion is in the artistic expression. And so in human history the water element and the air element have been separate from each other. We have no god Neptune of water who hangs out with the enlightened Buddha whose mind is as clear and vast and open as the sky. But it is not that hard to follow how the two relate. Vapor rises from the sea, fills the air, and is in every breath. It rises to form clouds and the respond to pressure, temperature, and wind to place themselves in the sky raining, carrying moisture, turning into tornadoes, hurricanes, thunderstorms, and all manner of weather. The rain falls far from where it arose and streams form and rivers flowing to the sea. The sea sustains life on earth balancing hot and cold, ice and salt water, surface and depths, tides and currents, absorbing and releasing carbon dioxide and methane and other elements. In nature, water and air are never separate. But who among the human race can think pure feeling or feel sunrise and sunset and the starry void with its sea of stars on fire? Whose mind is open, clear, and vast as the sky and whose heart is a sea of love that feels it is one with every living being on earth? --william mistele
