Elvira! You all are in for a treat - and you get to stay dry! You may remember the previous post about me having briefed the Oak Ridge Boys during their tour to Strategic Air Command (and my airplane) in Nebraska in 1987. Door knocking one of my teams came across Oak Mr. Joseph Bonsall! We reconnected and swapped stories about those days - the date - confirmed as I found the dated guitar pick they gave me). Anyway, we went up to Kentucky this weekend to see them play at the State Fair! So much fun - but it was POURING rain - but they kept playing! I was getting concerned because the night kept going on and they hadnt played one of my favorites - Elvira! Turns out it is a tradition to have everyone stand and sing it with them at some point during their concerts! So, here it is! Also - the one time Oak that was with them for a short time (that has since passed), Mr. Sanders had signed my EC-135 Looking Glass sketch in 87.... All rest of the Oaks signed this Sunday! Thank you so much! Thank you Joseph for meeting us up there for another photo! You all were just as fabulous as the first time I saw you perform in Nebraska! You all may not know, but they have been together since 1973 - 41 years! They are so well grounded - and they always include some awesome gospel music in their shows. Thank you for your witness!
