Emaam Sufyan Athwari (r) Said : ﺍﻟْﺒِﺪْﻋَﺔُ ﺃَﺣَﺐُّ ﺇِﻟَﻰ ﺇِﺑْﻠِﻴﺲَ ﻣِﻦَ ﺍﻟْﻤَﻌْﺼِﻴَﺔِ، ﺍﻟْﻤَﻌْﺼِﻴَﺔُ ﻳُﺘَﺎﺏُ ﻣِﻨْﻬَﺎ، ﻭَﺍﻟْﺒِﺪْﻋَﺔُ ﻟَﺎ ﻳُﺘَﺎﺏُ ﻣِﻨْﻬَﺎ Bidah is dearer to Iblees than sin, because a person may repent of sin but he cannot repent of bidah. ഇബ്ലീസിനു മറ്റ് പാപങ്ങളെക്കാള് കൂടുതല് ഇഷ്ട്ടം ബിദ് അത്തുകളോടാണ് ..പാപം ചെയ്യുന്നവര്ക്ക് പശ്ചാത്താപം തോന്നും എന്നാല് ബിദ് അത്ത് കള്ളു കുടിക്കുന്നവന് കുറ്റബോധം ഉണ്ടായി തൗബ ചെയ്യും.. വ്യഭിചരിക്കുന്നവനും അത് തെറ്റാണെന്ന് അറിയാം . പലിശ വാങ്ങിക്കുന്നവന ും കളവുകള് പറയുന്നവനും മോഷ്ട്ടിക്കുന്ന വനും അത് പോലെയുള്ള മുഴുവന് പാപങ്ങളും അത് ചെയ്യുന്നവര്ക്ക് തെറ്റാണെന്ന് അറിയാം അതുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ ഏതെങ്കിലും ഒരു സമയത്ത് അവന് കുറ്റബോധം തോന്നിയിട്ട് അവന് ചിലപ്പോള് പശ്ചാതപിച്ചേക്കാം .. എന്നാല് നബി ദിനം കഴിക്കുന്നവനും ബറാത്ത് നോമ്പ് നോക്കുന്നവനും ദിക്ര് ഹല്ഖ നടത്തുന്നവനും പെട്ടിസ്വലാത്ത് നടത്തുന്നവനും നാരിയ സ്വലാത്ത് ചൊല്ലുന്നവനും അത്പോലുള്ള ബിദ് അത്തുകള് ചെയ്യുന്നവനും കരുതുന്നത് ഇത് നല്ല കാര്യം അല്ലെ ..കൂലി കിട്ടുന്ന കാര്യമല്ലേ എന്ന് കരുതി ആണ് ചെയ്യുന്നത് . അത് കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ അവന് കുറ്റബോധം തോന്നില്ല അവന് തൌബയും ചെയ്യില്ല . അതുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ ﺍﻟﺒﺪﻋﺔ ﺃﺣﺐ ﺇﻟﻰ ﺇﺑﻠﻴﺲ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﻤﻌﺼﻴﺔ ﻷﻥ ﺍﻟﻤﻌﺼﻴﺔ ﻳﺘﺎﺏ ﻣﻨﻬﺎ ﻭﺍﻟﺒﺪﻋﺔ ﻻ ﻳﺘﺎﺏ ﻣﻨﻬﺎ . ഇബ്ലീസിനു മറ്റ് പാപങ്ങളെക്കാള് കൂടുതല് ഇഷ്ട്ടം ബിദ് അത്തുകളോടാണ് ... അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ കല്പ്പന പ്രകാരമാണ് നബി (സ) ദീനിലെ ഓരോ കാര്യവും പഠിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടു ള്ളത് . നല്ലതല്ലേ എന്ന് കരുതി എന്തും ചെയ്യാമെന്ന് ആരും കരുതരുത് . നബി (സ) പഠിപ്പിക്കാത്ത ഒരു പുണ്യ കര്മ്മവും അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ മീസാനില് കനം തൂങ്ങില്ല . അത്തരക്കാരുടെ അവസ്ഥയെക്കുറിച്ച് സൂറത്ത് അല്കഹ്ഫില് അല്ലാഹു പറയുന്നത് കാണുക : 1 8 : 103 - 10 5 ﻗُﻞْ ﻫَﻞْ ﻧُﻨَﺒِّﺌُﻜُﻢ ﺑِﺎﻟْﺄَﺧْﺴَﺮِﻳﻦَ ﺃَﻋْﻤَﺎﻟًﺎ ﴿١٠٣﴾ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳﻦَ ﺿَﻞَّ ﺳَﻌْﻴُﻬُﻢْ ﻓِﻲ ﺍﻟْﺤَﻴَﺎﺓِ ﺍﻟﺪُّﻧْﻴَﺎ ﻭَﻫُﻢْ ﻳَﺤْﺴَﺒُﻮﻥَ ﺃَﻧَّﻬُﻢْ ﻳُﺤْﺴِﻨُﻮﻥَ ﺻُﻨْﻌًﺎ ﴿١٠٤﴾ ﺃُﻭﻟَـٰﺌِﻚَ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳﻦَ ﻛَﻔَﺮُﻭﺍ ﺑِﺂﻳَﺎﺕِ ﺭَﺑِّﻬِﻢْ ﻭَﻟِﻘَﺎﺋِﻪِ ﻓَﺤَﺒِﻄَﺖْ ﺃَﻋْﻤَﺎﻟُﻬُﻢْ ﻓَﻠَﺎ ﻧُﻘِﻴﻢُ ﻟَﻬُﻢْ ﻳَﻮْﻡَ ﺍﻟْﻘِﻴَﺎﻣَﺔِ ﻭَﺯْﻧًﺎ ﴿١٠٥ ﴾ (നബിയേ,) പറയുക: കര്മ്മങ്ങള് ഏറ്റവും നഷ്ടകരമായി തീര്ന്നവരെ സംബന്ധിച്ച് നാം നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് പറഞ്ഞുതരട്ടെയോ? (103) ഐഹികജീവിതത്തിലെ തങ്ങളുടെ പ്രയത്നം പിഴച്ചുപോയവരത്ര െ അവര്. അവര് വിചാരിക്കുന്നതാ കട്ടെ തങ്ങള് നല്ല പ്രവര്ത്തനം നടത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നാണ്. (104) തങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവിന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങളില ും അവനുമായി കണ്ടുമുട്ടുന്നത ിലും വിശ്വസിക്കാത്തവരത്രെ അവര്. അതിനാല് അവരുടെ കര്മ്മങ്ങള് നിഷ്ഫലമായിപ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു. അതിനാല് നാം അവര്ക്ക് ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്ന േല്പിന്റെ നാളില് യാതൊരു തൂക്കവും (സ്ഥാനവും) നിലനിര്ത്തുകയില്ല. (105) നബി (സ) പഠിപ്പിച്ചു :ُ ﻛُﻞُّ ﺑِﺪْﻋَﺔٍ ﺿَﻼَﻟَﺔٌ എല്ലാ പുത്തനാചാരങ്ങളും ദുര്മാര്ഗ്ഗമാണ് . ﻋَﻦْ ﺟَﺎﺑِﺮِ ﺑْﻦِ ﻋَﺒْﺪِ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪِ ﻗَﺎﻝَ ﻛَﺎﻥَ ﺭَﺳُﻮﻝُ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪِ - ﺻﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ - ﺇِﺫَﺍ ﺧَﻄَﺐَ ﺍﺣْﻤَﺮَّﺕْ ﻋَﻴْﻨَﺎﻩُ ﻭَﻋَﻼَ ﺻَﻮْﺗُﻪُ ﻭَﺍﺷْﺘَﺪَّ ﻏَﻀَﺒُﻪُ ﺣَﺘَّﻰ ﻛَﺄَﻧَّﻪُ ﻣُﻨْﺬِﺭُ ﺟَﻴْﺶٍ ﻳَﻘُﻮﻝُ « ﺻَﺒَّﺤَﻜُﻢْ ﻭَﻣَﺴَّﺎﻛُﻢْ ». ﻭَﻳَﻘُﻮﻝُ « ﺑُﻌِﺜْﺖُ ﺃَﻧَﺎ ﻭَﺍﻟﺴَّﺎﻋَﺔَ ﻛَﻬَﺎﺗَﻴْﻦِ ». ﻭَﻳَﻘْﺮُﻥُ ﺑَﻴْﻦَ ﺇِﺻْﺒَﻌَﻴْﻪِ ﺍﻟﺴَّﺒَّﺎﺑَﺔِ ﻭَﺍﻟْﻮُﺳْﻄَﻰ ﻭَﻳَﻘُﻮﻝُ « ﺃَﻣَّﺎ ﺑَﻌْﺪُ ﻓَﺈِﻥَّ ﺧَﻴْﺮَ ﺍﻟْﺤَﺪِﻳﺚِ ﻛِﺘَﺎﺏُ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪِ ﻭَﺧَﻴْﺮُ ﺍﻟْﻬُﺪَﻯ ﻫُﺪَﻯ ﻣُﺤَﻤَّﺪٍ ﻭَﺷَﺮُّ ﺍﻷُﻣُﻮﺭِ ﻣُﺤْﺪَﺛَﺎﺗُﻬَﺎ ﻭَﻛُﻞُّ ﺑِﺪْﻋَﺔٍ ﺿَﻼَﻟَﺔٌ When the Messenger (alayhis salaam) would deliver a sermon, his eyes would be come red, his voice would be raised, and his anger would be severe, as if he was admonishing an army... and he would say, To proceed, indeed the best speech is the speech of Allaah and the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad and the worst of affairs (in the religion) are the newly-invented matters, and every innovation is misguidance. നബി (സ) പഠിപ്പിച്ചു ﻋﻦ ﻋﺎﺋﺸﺔ ﺭﺿﻲ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻨﻬﺎ ﻗﺎﻟﺖ : ﻗﺎﻝ ﺭﺳﻮﻝ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﺻﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ : ﻣَﻦْ ﺃَﺣْﺪَﺙَ ﻓِﻲ ﺃَﻣْﺮِﻧَﺎ ﻫَﺬَﺍ ﻣَﺎ ﻟَﻴْﺲَ ﻣِﻨْﻪُ ﻓَﻬُﻮَ ﺭَﺩٌ Whoever introduces into this affair of ours that which does not belong to it, will have it rejected മഹാന്മാരായ മുന്ഗാമികള് പറയുന്നത് കാണുക : Imaam Malik : ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﻳَﺼْﻠُﺢُ ﺁﺧِﺮُ ﻫَﺬِﻩ ﺍﻟْﺄُﻣَّﺔِ ﺇﻟَّﺎ ﻣَﺎ ﺃﺻْﻠَﺢَ ﺃﻭَّﻟَﻬَﺎ ﻭَﻟَﻢْ ﻳَﺒْﻠُﻐْﻨِﻲ ﻋَﻦْ ﺃَﻭَّﻝِ ﻫَﺬِﻩِ ﺍﻟْﺄُﻣَّﺔِ ﻭَﺻَﺪْﺭِﻫَﺎ ﺃَﻧَّﻬُﻢْ ﻛَﺎﻧُﻮﺍ ﻳَﻔْﻌَﻠُﻮﻥَ ﺫَﻟِﻚَ The last generations of this ummah can only be reformed by that which reformed its first generations. What was not part of the religion then cannot become part of the religion now (Shifaa) ﻗَﺎﻝَ ﺍﺑْﻦُ ﺍﻟْﻤَﺎﺟِﺸُﻮﻥِ : ﺳَﻤِﻌْﺖُ ﻣَﺎﻟِﻜًﺎ ﻳَﻘُﻮﻝُ : ﻣَﻦِ ﺍﺑْﺘَﺪَﻉَ ﻓِﻲ ﺍﻟْﺈِﺳْﻠَﺎﻡِ ﺑِﺪْﻋَﺔً ﻳَﺮَﺍﻫَﺎ ﺣَﺴَﻨَﺔً، ﺯَﻋَﻢَ ﺃَﻥَّ ﻣُﺤَﻤَّﺪًﺍ ﺻَﻠَّﻰ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪُ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻪِ ﻭَﺳَﻠَّﻢَ ﺧَﺎﻥَ ﺍﻟﺮِّﺳَﺎﻟَﺔَ، ﻟِﺄَﻥَّ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪَ ﻳَﻘُﻮﻝُ : } ﺍﻟْﻴَﻮْﻡَ ﺃَﻛْﻤَﻠْﺖُ ﻟَﻜُﻢْ ﺩِﻳﻨَﻜُﻢْ { [ ﺍﻟﻤﺎﺋﺪﺓ : 3] ، ﻓَﻤَﺎ ﻟَﻢْ ﻳَﻜُﻦْ ﻳَﻮْﻣَﺌِﺬٍ ﺩِﻳﻨًﺎ، ﻓَﻠَﺎ ﻳَﻜُﻮﻥُ ﺍﻟْﻴَﻮْﻡَ ﺩِﻳﻨًﺎ. 2:Fuday bin Iyaad: ﻓﻀﻴﻞ ﺑﻦ ﻋﻴﺎﺽ ﻳﻘﻮﻝ : « ﺇِﻥَّ ﻟِﻠَّﻪِ ﻋِﺒَﺎﺩًﺍ ﻳُﺤْﻴﻰ ﺑِﻬِﻢُ ﺍﻟْﻌِﺒَﺎﺩُ ﻭَﺍﻟْﺒِﻠَﺎﺩُ ﻭَﻫُﻢْ ﺃَﺻْﺤَﺎﺏُ ﺳُﻨَّﺔٍ ﻣَﻦْ ﻛَﺎﻥَ ﻳَﻌْﻘِﻞُ ﻣَﺎ ﻳَﺪْﺧُﻞُ ﺟَﻮْﻓَﻪُ ﻣِﻦْ ﺣِﻠِّﻪِ ﻛَﺎﻥَ ﻓِﻲ ﺣِﺰْﺏِ ﺍﻟﻠﻪِ ﺗَﻌَﺎﻟَﻰ Allah has slaves through whom He will revive the land. They are the followers of the Sunnah (Lalakaee) ﻋَﻦِ ﺍﻟْﻔُﻀَﻴْﻞِ ﺑْﻦِ ﻋِﻴَﺎﺽٍ : ﺍﺗَّﺒِﻊْ ﻃُﺮُﻕَ ﺍﻟْﻬُﺪَﻯ ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﻳَﻀُﺮُّﻙَ ﻗِﻠَّﺔُ ﺍﻟﺴَّﺎﻟِﻜِﻴﻦَ، ﻭَﺇِﻳَّﺎﻙَ ﻭَﻃُﺮُﻕَ ﺍﻟﻀَّﻠَﺎﻟَﺔِ ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﺗَﻐْﺘَﺮَّ ﺑِﻜَﺜْﺮَﺓِ ﺍﻟْﻬَﺎﻟِﻜِﻴﻦَ Al-Fudayl ibn Iyaad (may Allah have mercy on him) who said: Follow the path of guidance, and do not worry about how few are the people who follow it. Beware of the paths of misguidance, and do not be decieved by the large numbers of those who doomed. 3:Abdullah bin Mubarak ﻋَﻦْ ﻋَﺒْﺪِ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪِ ﺑْﻦِ ﺍﻟْﻤُﺒَﺎﺭَﻙِ ﻗَﺎﻝَ : « ﺃَﻋْﻠَﻢُ ﺃَﻧِّﻲ ﺃَﺭَﻯ ﺃَﻥَّ ﺍﻟْﻤَﻮْﺕَ ﺍﻟْﻴَﻮْﻡَ ﻛَﺮَﺍﻣَﺔٌ ﻟِﻜُﻞِّ ﻣُﺴْﻠِﻢٍ ﻟَﻘِﻲَ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪَ ﻋَﻠَﻰ ﺍﻟﺴُّﻨَّﺔِ , ﻓَﺈِﻧَّﺎ ﻟِﻠَّﻪِ ﻭَﺇِﻧَّﺎ ﺇِﻟَﻴْﻪِ ﺭَﺍﺟِﻌُﻮﻥَ , ﻓَﺈِﻟَﻰ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪِ ﻧَﺸْﻜُﻮ ﻭَﺣْﺸَﺘَﻨَﺎ , ﻭَﺫَﻫَﺎﺏَ ﺍﻟْﺈِﺧْﻮَﺍﻥِ , ﻭَﻗِﻠَّﺔَ ﺍﻟْﺄَﻋْﻮَﺍﻥِ , ﻭَﻇُﻬُﻮﺭَ ﺍﻟْﺒِﺪَﻉِ , ﻭَﺇِﻟَﻰ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪِ ﻧَﺸْﻜُﻮ ﻋَﻈِﻴﻢَ ﻣَﺎ ﺣَﻞَّ ﺑِﻬَﺬِﻩِ ﺍﻟْﺄُﻣَّﺔِ ﻣِﻦْ ﺫَﻫَﺎﺏِ ﺍﻟْﻌُﻠَﻤَﺎﺀِ ﻭَﺃَﻫْﻞِ ﺍﻟﺴُّﻨَّﺔِ , ﻭَﻇُﻬُﻮﺭِ ﺍﻟْﺒِﺪَﻉِ » It was narrated that Abd-Allah ibn al-Mubaarak (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Know that death nowadays is an honour for every Muslim who meets Allah adhering to the Sunnah. Verily, to Allah we belong and unto Him is our return. It is to Allah that we complain of our Alienation, the passing away of our brothers, the lack of support and the emergence of bidah. it is to Allah that we complain of the great calamity that has befallen this ummah because of the passing away of the scholars and Ahl as- Sunnah, and the emergence of bidah. . 4:Ibn Abbas ﻋﻦ ﺍﺑﻦ ﻋﺒﺎﺱ ، ﻗﺎﻝ : ﺍﻟﻨَّﻈَﺮُ ﺇﻟﻰ ﺍﻟﺮﺟﻞ ﻣﻦ ﺃﻫﻞ ﺍﻟﺴﻨﺔ ﻳَﺪﻋﻮ ﺇﻟﻰ ﺍﻟﺴﻨﺔ ﻭﻳَﻨﻬﻰ ﻋﻦ ﺍﻟﺒﺪﻋﺔ ، ﻋﺒﺎﺩﺓٌ Ibn Abbaas (R) spoke the truth when he described Ahl as-Sunnah in the following terms: You will always see a man of Ahl as-Sunnah calling people to the Sunnah and forbidding bidah. ﻭﻋﻦ ﺍﺑﻦ ﻋﺒﺎﺱٍ ﻗﺎﻝ : ﻣﺎ ﺃَﺗﻰ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻨّﺎﺱِ ﻋﺎﻡٌ ، ﺇِﻻ ﺃَﺣْﺪَﺛُﻮﺍ ﻓﻴﻪِ ﺑِﺪْﻋﺔً ﻭﺃَﻣﺎﺗُﻮﺍ ﻓﻴﻪِ ﺳﻨَّﺔً ﺣﺘّﻰ ﺗَﺤْﻴَﺎ ﺍﻟﺒِﺪَﻉُ ﻭﺗﻤﻮﺕَ ﺍﻟﺴﻨَﻦُ “Never will a year come to pass except that its people will invent in it an innovation and kill thereby a Sunnah until the innovation is established and the Sunnah dies off.” 5:Hudayfah bin al yamaan: ﻛُﻞُّ ﻋِﺒَﺎﺩَﺓٍ ﻟَﻢْ ﻳَﺘَﻌَﺒَّﺪْﻫَﺎ ﺃَﺻْﺤَﺎﺏُ ﺭَﺳُﻮﻝِ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪِ ﺻَﻠَّﻰ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪُ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻪِ ﻭَﺳَﻠَّﻢَ، ﻓَﻠَﺎ ﺗَﻌَﺒَّﺪُﻭﻫَﺎ ﻓَﺈِﻥَّ ﺍﻟْﺄَﻭَّﻝَ ﻟَﻢْ ﻳَﺪَﻉْ ﻟِﻠْﺂﺧِﺮِ ﻣَﻘَﺎﻟًﺎ، ﻓَﺎﺗَّﻘُﻮﺍ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪَ ﻳَﺎ ﻣَﻌْﺸَﺮَ ﺍﻟْﻘُﺮَّﺍﺀِ، ﻭَﺧُﺬُﻭﺍ ﺑِﻄَﺮِﻳﻖِ ﻣَﻦْ ﻛَﺎﻥَ ﻗَﺒْﻠَﻜُﻢْ ، ﻓَﻠَﻌَﻤْﺮِﻱ ﻟَﺌِﻦِ ﺍﺗَّﺒَﻌْﺘُﻤُﻮﻩُ ﻟَﻘَﺪْ ﺳَﺒَﻘْﺘُﻢْ ﺳَﺒْﻘًﺎ ﺑَﻌِﻴﺪًﺍ، ﻭَﻟَﺌِﻦْ ﺗَﺮَﻛْﺘُﻤُﻮﻩُ ﻳِﻤِﻴﻨًﺎ ﺃَﻭْ ﺷِﻤَﺎﻟًﺎ ﻟَﻘَﺪْ ﺿَﻠَﻠْﺘُﻢْ ﺿَﻠَﺎﻟًﺎ ﺑَﻌِﻴﺪًﺍ 2. Hudhayfah ibn al-Yamaan (R) said: Do not perform any act of worship that was not practiced by the Companions of the Messenger of Allah, for the earlier generation did not leave any room for the latter to add anything (to the religion). Fear Allah, O readers, seekers of knowledge, and follow the path of those who came before you. [2] 6:Umar bin Abdul Azeez ﻗِﻒْ ﺣَﻴْﺚُ ﻭَﻗَﻒ ﺍﻟﻘَﻮْﻡُ ، ﻓﺈﻧَّﻬﻢ ﻋَﻦْ ﻋِﻠْﻢٍ ﻭَﻗَﻔُﻮﺍ ، ﻭَﺑِﺒَﺼَﺮٍ ﻧﺎﻓِﺬٍ ﻛَﻔُّﻮﺍْ ﻭﻟَﻬُﻢْ ﻋﻠﻰ ﻛَﺸْﻔِﻬَﺎ ﻛَﺎﻧُﻮﺍ ﺃَﻗْﻮَﻯ ، The just caliph Umar ibn Abd al-Azeez (R) said: Stay within the limits of the people, because they stayed within the limits on the basis of knowledge, and because of their deep knowledge they did not transgress limits, even though they had the means to go as far as they wanted. ﻭﺑﺎﻟﻔَﻀْﻞِ ﻟﻮ ﻛﺎﻥَ ﻓِﻴﻬَﺎ ﺃَﺣْﺮَﻯ ، ﻓَﻠﺌِﻦْ ﻗُﻠْﺘُﻢ : ﺣَﺪَﺙَ ﺑَﻌْﺪَﻫُﻢ ، ﻓَﻤَﺎ ﺃَﺣْﺪَﺛَﻪُ ﺇِﻻَّ ﻣَﻦْ ﺧَﺎﻟﻒَ ﻫَﺪْﻳَﻬُﻢْ ، ﻭﺭَﻏِﺐَ ﻋﻦ ﺳُﻨَّﺘِﻬِﻢ ، ﻭَﻟَﻘﺪْ ﻭَﺻَﻔُﻮﺍ ﻣِﻨْﻪُ ﻣَﺎ ﻳَﺸْﻔِﻲ ، ﻭَﺗَﻜَﻠَّﻤُﻮﺍْ ﻣﻨﻪ ﺑِﻤَﺎ ﻳَﻜْﻔِﻲ ، ) If there was any virtue in going beyond the limits, they could have done that if they wanted to. If you say that innovations were introduced after they died, they were only introduced by people who went against their guidance and preferred a way other than theirs. They (the salaf) explained their way and made it clear to everyone, and they said enough about it. ﻓَﻤَﺎ ﻓَﻮْﻗُﻬُﻢْ ﻣُﺤَﺴِّﺮٌ ، ﻭَﻣَﺎ ﺩُﻭﻧﻬُﻢْ ﻣُﻘَﺼِّﺮٌ ، ﻟَﻘَﺪْ ﻗَﺼَّﺮَ ﻋَﻨْﻬﻢ ﻗَﻮْﻡٌ ﻓَﺠَﻔَﻮﺍ ، ﻭَﺗَﺠَﺎﻭَﺯَﻫُﻢ ﺁﺧﺮﻭﻥ ﻓَﻐَﻠَﻮﺍ ، ﻭﺇﻧَّﻬُﻢْ ﻓِﻴﻤَﺎ ﺑَﻴْﻦَ ﺫَﻟﻚ ﻋَﻠﻰ ﻫُﺪﻯً ﻣُﺴْﺘَﻘِﻴﻢٍ Whoever tries to outdo them, is going to extremes, and whoever falls short in that is lacking. There are people who fell short and were negligent, and there are people who tried to surpass them and went to extremes. Theirs is a middle path between these two extremes, and it is a straight path. [11] ﻭﻋﻦ ﻋﻤﺮ ﺑﻦ ﻋﺒﺪ ﺍﻟﻌﺰﻳﺰ ﻗﺎﻝ : ﻛَﺎﻥَ ﻋُﻤَﺮُ ﺑْﻦُ ﻋَﺒْﺪِ ﺍﻟْﻌَﺰِﻳﺰِ ﻳَﻘُﻮﻝُ : ﺳَﻦَّ ﺭَﺳُﻮﻝُ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪِ ﺻَﻠَّﻰ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪُ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻪِ ﻭَﺳَﻠَّﻢَ ﻭَﻭُﻟَﺎﺓُ ﺍﻟْﺄَﻣْﺮِ ﻣِﻦْ ﺑَﻌْﺪِﻩِ ﺳُﻨَﻨًﺎ، ﺍﻟْﺄَﺧْﺬُ ﺑِﻬَﺎ ﺗَﺼْﺪِﻳﻖٌ ﻟِﻜِﺘَﺎﺏِ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪِ، ﻭَﺍﺳْﺘِﻜْﻤَﺎﻝٌ ﻟِﻄَﺎﻋَﺔِ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪِ، ﻭَﻗُﻮَّﺓٌ ﻋَﻠَﻰ ﺩِﻳﻦِ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪِ، ﻟَﻴْﺲَ ﻟِﺄَﺣَﺪٍ ﺗَﺒْﺪِﻳﻠُﻬَﺎ ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﺗَﻐْﻴِﻴﺮُﻫَﺎ، ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﺍﻟﻨَّﻈَﺮُ ﻓِﻴﻬَﺎ ! ﻣَﻦِ ﺍﻫْﺘَﺪَﻯ ﺑِﻬَﺎ ﻣُﻬْﺘَﺪٍ، ﻭَﻣَﻦِ ﺍﺳْﺘَﻨْﺼَﺮَ ﺑِﻬَﺎ ﻣَﻨْﺼُﻮﺭٌ، ﻭَﻣَﻦْ ﺧَﺎﻓَﻬَﺎ ﺍﺗَّﺒَﻊَ ﻏَﻴْﺮَ ﺳَﺒِﻴﻞِ ﺍﻟْﻤُﺆْﻣِﻨِﻴﻦَ، ﻭَﻭَﻟَّﺎﻩُ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪُ ﻣَﺎ ﺗَﻮَﻟَّﻰ، ﻭَﺃَﺻْﻠَﺎﻩُ ﺟَﻬَﻨَّﻢَ ﻭَﺳَﺎﺀَﺕْ ﻣَﺼِﻴﺮًﺍ . ﻓَﻘَﺎﻝَ ﻣَﺎﻟِﻚٌ : ﻓَﺄَﻋْﺠَﺒَﻨِﻲ ﻋَﺰْﻡُ ﻋُﻤَﺮَ ﻋَﻠَﻰ ﺫَﻟِﻚَ. 7:Sufyan Athwari ﺍﻟْﺒِﺪْﻋَﺔُ ﺃَﺣَﺐُّ ﺇِﻟَﻰ ﺇِﺑْﻠِﻴﺲَ ﻣِﻦَ ﺍﻟْﻤَﻌْﺼِﻴَﺔِ، ﺍﻟْﻤَﻌْﺼِﻴَﺔُ ﻳُﺘَﺎﺏُ ﻣِﻨْﻬَﺎ، ﻭَﺍﻟْﺒِﺪْﻋَﺔُ ﻟَﺎ ﻳُﺘَﺎﺏُ ﻣِﻨْﻬَﺎ Bidah is dearer to Iblees than sin, because a person may repent of sin but he cannot repent of bidah. 8:Muaadh bin jabal ﻣُﻌَﺎﺫِ ﺑْﻦِ ﺟَﺒَﻞٍ ﺭَﺿِﻲَ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪُ ﻋَﻨْﻪُ : ﻓَﻴُﻮﺷِﻚُ ﻗَﺎﺋِﻞٌ ﺃَﻥْ ﻳَﻘُﻮﻝَ : ﻣَﺎ ﻫُﻢْ ﺑِﻤُﺘَّﺒِﻌِﻲَّ ﻓَﻴَﺘَّﺒِﻌُﻮﻧِﻲ ﻭَﻗَﺪْ ﻗَﺮَّﺃْﺕُ ﺍﻟْﻘُﺮْﺁﻥَ، ﻓَﻠَﺎ ﻳَﺘَّﺒِﻌُﻨِّﻲ ﺣَﺘَّﻰ ﺃَﺑْﺘَﺪِﻉَ ﻟَﻬُﻢْ ﻏَﻴْﺮَﻩُ، ﻓَﺈِﻳَّﺎﻛُﻢْ ﻭَﻣَﺎ ﺍﺑْﺘُﺪِﻉَ، ﻓَﺈِﻥَّ ﻣَﺎ ﺍﺑْﺘُﺪِﻉَ ﺿَﻠَﺎﻟَﺔٌ. ﻣُﻌَﺎﺫَ ﺑْﻦَ ﺟَﺒَﻞٍ ﻗَﺎﻡَ ﺑِﺎﻟﺸَّﺎﻡِ ﻓَﻘَﺎﻝَ : «ﺃَﻳُّﻬَﺎ ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺱُ , ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻜُﻢْ ﺑِﺎﻟْﻌِﻠْﻢِ ﻗَﺒْﻞَ ﺃَﻥْ ﻳُﺮْﻓَﻊَ , ﺃَﻟَﺎ ﻭَﺇِﻥَّ ﺭَﻓْﻌَﻪُ ﺫَﻫَﺎﺏُ ﺃَﻫْﻠِﻴﻪِ , ﻭَﺇِﻳَّﺎﻛُﻢْ ﻭَﺍﻟْﺒِﺪَﻉَ , ﻭَﺍﻟﺘَّﺒَﺪُّﻉَ , ﻭَﺍﻟﺘَّﻨَﻄُّﻊَ , ﻭَﻋَﻠَﻴْﻜُﻢْ ﺑِﺄَﻣْﺮِﻛُﻢُ ﺍﻟْﻌَﺘِﻴﻖِ » 1. Muaadh ibn Jabal (R) said: O people, you must seek knowledge before it is taken away, for indeed when its people (the scholars) die, it wll be taken away. And beware of bidah, innovation and sophistication, and adhere to the ancient way [i.e., the way of the Prophet (S)]. [1 9: Awzaee ﻓَﺎﺻْﺒِﺮْ ﻧَﻔْﺴَﻚَ ﻋَﻠَﻰ ﺍﻟﺴُّﻨَّﺔِ، ﻭَﻗِﻒْ ﺣَﻴْﺚُ ﻭَﻗَﻒَ ﺍﻟْﻘَﻮْﻡُ، ﻭَﻗُﻞْ ﻓِﻴﻤَﺎ ﻗَﺎﻟُﻮﺍ، ﻭَﻛُﻒَّ ﻋَﻤَّﺎ ﻛَﻔُّﻮﺍ ﻋَﻨْﻪُ، ﻭَﺍﺳْﻠُﻚْ ﺳَﺒِﻴﻞَ ﺳَﻠَﻔِﻚَ ﺍﻟﺼَّﺎﻟِﺢِ، ﻓَﺈِﻧَّﻪُ ﻳَﺴَﻌُﻚِ ﻣَﺎ ﻭَﺳِﻌَﻬُﻢْ «Patiently restrict yourself upon the Sunnah, stop where the people (i.e. the companions) stopped, say what they say and refrain from that which they refrained. Traverse upon the path of your Salaf as- Salih (Righteous Predecessors), for indeed what was sufficient for them is sufficient for you.» (13) Abdullah bin Masood « ﻣَﻦْ ﻛَﺎﻥَ ﻣُﺴْﺘَﻨًّﺎ ﻓَﻠْﻴَﺴْﺘَﻦَّ ﺑِﻤَﻦْ ﻗَﺪْ ﻣَﺎﺕَ، ﺃُﻭﻟَﺌِﻚَ ﺃَﺻْﺤَﺎﺏُ ﻣُﺤَﻤَّﺪٍ ﺻَﻠَّﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪُ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻪِ ﻭَﺳَﻠَّﻢَ ﻛَﺎﻧُﻮﺍ ﺧَﻴْﺮَ ﻫَﺬِﻩِ ﺍﻟْﺄُﻣَّﺔِ، ﺃَﺑَّﺮَﻫَﺎ ﻗُﻠُﻮﺑًﺎ، ﻭَﺃَﻋْﻤَﻘَﻬَﺎ ﻋِﻠْﻤًﺎ، ﻭَﺃَﻗَﻠَّﻬَﺎ ﺗَﻜَﻠُّﻔًﺎ، ﻗَﻮْﻡٌ ﺍﺧْﺘَﺎﺭَﻫُﻢُ ﺍﻟﻠﻪُ ﻟِﺼُﺤْﺒَﺔِ ﻧَﺒِﻴِّﻪِ ﺻﻠّﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ ﻭَﻧَﻘْﻞِ ﺩِﻳﻨِﻪِ، ﻓَﺘَﺸَﺒَّﻬُﻮﺍ ﺑِﺄَﺧْﻠَﺎﻗِﻬِﻢْ ﻭَﻃَﺮَﺍﺋِﻘِﻬِﻢْ ﻓَﻬُﻢْ ﺃَﺻْﺤَﺎﺏُ ﻣُﺤَﻤَّﺪٍ ﺻَﻠَّﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪُ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻪِ ﻭَﺳَﻠَّﻢَ، ﻛَﺎﻧُﻮﺍ ﻋَﻠَﻰ ﺍﻟْﻬُﺪَﻯ ﺍﻟْﻤُﺴْﺘَﻘِﻴﻢِ » - Whoever wants to follow an example, let him follow the example of those who have passed away, the Companions of Muhammad (peace be upon him). They were the best of this ummah, the purest in heart, the deepest in knowledge, the least in sophistication. They were people whom Allah chose to be the Companions of His Prophet (peace be upon him) and to convey His religion, so imitate their ways and behaviour, for they were following the Straight Path. Imaam Ashafie: ﻣﻦ ﺍﺳﺘﺤﺴﻦ ﻓﻘﺪ ﺷﺮّﻉ . Ibn Umar : ﺣَﺪَّﺛَﻨَﺎ ﺣَﻔْﺺُ ﺑْﻦُ ﻋُﻤَﺮَ، ﻗَﺎﻝَ : ﺣَﺪَّﺛَﻨَﺎ ﺃَﺑُﻮ ﺣَﺎﺗِﻢٍ، ﻗَﺎﻝَ : ﺣَﺪَّﺛَﻨَﺎ ﺃَﺑُﻮ ﺑَﻜْﺮِ ﺑْﻦُ ﺃَﺑِﻲ ﺷَﻴْﺒَﺔَ، ﻗَﺎﻝَ : ﺣَﺪَّﺛَﻨَﺎ ﺷَﺒَﺎﺑَﺔُ ﺑْﻦُ ﺳِﻮَﺍﺭٍ، ﻋَﻦْ ﻫِﺸَﺎﻡٍ، ﻋَﻦْ ﻧَﺎﻓِﻊٍ، ﻋَﻦِ ﺍﺑْﻦِ ﻋُﻤَﺮَ، ﻗَﺎﻝَ : «ﻛُﻞُّ ﺑِﺪْﻋَﺔٍ ﺿَﻠَﺎﻟَﺔٌ، ﻭَﺇِﻥْ ﺭَﺁﻫَﺎ ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺱُ ﺣَﺴَﻨَﺔً » Imaam Ahmed ﺃُﺻُﻮﻝُ ﺍﻟﺴُّﻨَّﺔِ ﻋِﻨْﺪَﻧَﺎ : ﺍﻟﺘَّﻤَﺴُّﻚُ ﺑِﻤَﺎ ﻛَﺎﻥَ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻪِ ﺃَﺻْﺤَﺎﺏُ ﺭَﺳُﻮﻝِ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪِ ﺻَﻠَّﻰ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪُ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻪِ ﻭَﺳَﻠَّﻢَ ﻭَﺍﻟِﺎﻗْﺘِﺪَﺍﺀُ ﺑِﻬِﻢْ ﻭَﺗَﺮْﻙُ ﺍﻟْﺒِﺪَﻉِ ﻭَﻛُﻞُّ ﺑِﺪْﻋَﺔٍ ﺿَﻠَﺎﻟَﺔٌ . ﻭَﺍﻟﺴُّﻨَّﺔُ ﻋِﻨْﺪَﻧَﺎ : ﺁﺛَﺎﺭُ ﺭَﺳُﻮﻝِ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪِ ﺻَﻠَّﻰ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪُ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻪِ ﻭَﺳَﻠَّﻢَ ﻭَﺍﻟﺴُّﻨَّﺔُ ﺗُﻔَﺴِّﺮُ ﺍﻟْﻘُﺮْﺁﻥَ ﻭَﻫِﻲَ ﺩَﻟَﺎﺋِﻞُ ﺍﻟْﻘُﺮْﺁﻥِ ﺃَﻱْ ﺩَﻟَﺎﻟَﺎﺕٌ ﻋَﻠَﻰ ﻣَﻌْﻨَﺎﻩُ . ﻭَﺍﻟْﺂﺛَﺎﺭُ ﻓِﻲ ﻫَﺬَﺍ ﺍﻟْﻤَﻌْﻨَﻰ ﻛَﺜِﻴﺮَﺓٌ ﺟَﻤِﻴﻌُﻬَﺎ ﻳَﺪُﻝُّ ﻋَﻠَﻰ ﺍﻟِﺎﻗْﺘِﺪَﺍﺀِ ﺑِﻬِﻢْ ﻭَﺍﻟِﺎﺗِّﺒَﺎﻉِ ﻟِﻄَﺮِﻳﻘِﻬِﻢْ ﻋَﻠَﻰ ﻛُﻞِّ ﺣَﺎﻝٍ، ﻭَﻫُﻮَ ﻃَﺮِﻳﻖُ ﺍﻟﻨَّﺠَﺎﺓِ ﺣَﺴْﺒَﻤَﺎ ﻧَﺒَّﻪَ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻪِ ﺣَﺪِﻳﺚُ ﺍﻟْﻔِﺮَﻕِ ﻓِﻲ ﻗَﻮْﻟِﻪِ : « ﻣَﺎ ﺃَﻧَﺎ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻪِ ﻭَﺃَﺻْﺤَﺎﺑِﻲ » ﻭَﻟِﻬَﺬَﺍ ﻗَﺎﻟُﻮﺍ : } ﻟَﻮْ ﻛَﺎﻥَ ﺧَﻴْﺮًﺍ ﻣَﺎ ﺳَﺒَﻘُﻮﻧَﺎ ﺇِﻟَﻴْﻪِ { ﻭَﺃَﻣَّﺎ ﺃَﻫْﻞُ ﺍﻟﺴُّﻨَّﺔِ (5 ) ﻭَﺍﻟْﺠَﻤَﺎﻋَﺔِ ﻓَﻴَﻘُﻮﻟُﻮﻥَ ﻓِﻲ ﻛُﻞِّ ﻓِﻌْﻞٍ ﻭَﻗَﻮْﻝٍ ﻟَﻢْ ﻳَﺜْﺒُﺖْ ﻋَﻦِ ﺍﻟﺼَّﺤَﺎﺑَﺔِ : ﻫُﻮَ ﺑِﺪْﻋَﺔٌ؛ ﻟِﺄَﻧَّﻪُ ﻟَﻮْ ﻛَﺎﻥَ ﺧَﻴْﺮًﺍ ﻟﺴﺒﻘﻮﻧﺎ ﺇﻟﻴﻪ، ﻷﻧﻬﻢ ﻟَﻢْ ﻳَﺘْﺮُﻛُﻮﺍ ﺧَﺼْﻠَﺔً ﻣِﻦْ ﺧِﺼَﺎﻝِ ﺍﻟْﺨَﻴْﺮِ ﺇِﻟَّﺎ ﻭَﻗَﺪْ ﺑَﺎﺩَﺭُﻭﺍ ﺇِﻟَﻴْﻬَﺎ (Had it been good, they (the weak and poor) would not have preceded us to it!) Contrary to this is the position of Ahl us-Sunnah wal-Jama`ah: They say about any act or saying that has not been reported from the Companions: It is an innovation. If there was any good in it, they would have preceded us in doing it, because they have not left off any of the good characteristics except that they hurried to perform them. നല്ലതല്ലേ നല്ലതല്ലേ എന്ന് കരുതിക്കൊണ്ട് അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ റസൂല് (സ) പഠിപ്പിക്കാത്ത സ്വഹാബത്ത് മനസ്സിലാക്കിയിട്ടില്ലാത്ത പ ല കാര്യങ്ങളും ദീനില് കടത്തിക്കൂട്ടുന്നവര് ഈ ആയത്തുകളും ഹദീസുകളും മുന്ഗാമികള് ആയ മഹാന്മാരും ബിദ് അത്തുകളെ കുറിച്ച് പറഞ്ഞ കാര്യങ്ങളും ഗൌരവത്തോടെ എടുക്കട്ടെ ... ബിദ് അത്തുകളില് നിന്നും വിട്ടു നിന്നുകൊണ്ട് സലഫുസ്സ്വാലിഹീങ്ങള് മനസ്സിലാക്കിയ പോലെ സുന്നത്ത് പിന്പറ്റി ജീവിക്കാന് അല്ലാഹു നമ്മെ തുണക്കട്ടെ .. ആമീന
