Software/Controls Engineer Description Currently seeking a skilled Software /Controls Engineer to join our Engineering team. Responsibilities: Design and implementation of control systems and automation for extrusion equipment. Specification, programming, testing and documentation of IO and software. Assist in development of new products from concept to prototype and testing Technical support for field service personnel and aftermarket group Assist in the investigation and evaluation of product improvements Desired Skills and Experience: BS or MS in Computer/Electrical/Software Engineering with 5+ years experience in control system programming and design Proficient in programming and troubleshooting real-time DCS and PLC systems (IEC-61131 languages) Practical experience and knowledge of automation/control system components including: PLCs (Allen Bradley, B&R) HMI/SCADA (Wonderware Intouch/Archestra, GE/Intellution iFix, Windows .NET) Motion Controllers (Yaskawa, Allen Bradley) Drive systems (VFD, Stepper, Servo) Networking and Communications (Ethernet/IP, Powerlink, OPC/DA Servers) Experience in Windows .NET programming. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (i.e. Word, Excel). AutoCAD Electrical experience is a plus. Able to work and communicate as a member of a team.
