Emancipate at The Empire State: This old school track played on Crossover while (finally) practice driving around the village yesterday reminding me of that life changing misadventure in America, most especially New York City which is an adventure in itself. I feel like the naive little girl in the video wandering the streets of Manhattan observing the unfamiliar. There I was lost in the shadows homeless surviving some sleepless nights at McDonalds surrounded by strangers. I had experienced NYC as it is and not all glitz & glamour; I had my fairshare of mishaps turned blessing in disguise, taught me a great deal about human nature -- mans innate goodness . . . how important it is to accept and respect our differences . . . and why sometimes you need to burn a bridge to move forward -- unleash greatness. For the random meetings with compassionate people, most of whom I met the first time and offered assistance, I am forever grateful. You know who you are. ☺
